Enrollment Committee

The Enrollment Committee is composed of the full-time faculty members and the Chairperson of the Board of Directors or the Chairperson’s designee. The committee meets the second week in February to consider applications and to extend enrollment opportunities for the following year’s students. The Enrollment Committee also meets as necessary thereafter to respond to any changes in enrollment.

At all grade levels, the Enrollment Committee strives to maintain a balance of males and females within a 16-student limit per class. In addition, priority is given to siblings of New Horizons students and to students who offer diversity to the classroom population. At the kindergarten level, priority may be given to older children. The Enrollment Committee may request an interview with the child or suggest further academic testing prior to acceptance.
